Sidney has been such a blessing. She is the calmest, sweetest baby that I have ever held. She is laying here asleep on her boppy pillow on my lap as I type this. I am afraid that the child is already spoiled. She doesn't like to be put down but I am okay with that. I am fully aware that she won't be this little for very long. It makes me sad to know that she is growing so fast. Since tomorrow is Wednesday, I will def try to get some pictures taken and post for Wordless Wednesday....that way I don't have to spend the time writing when I could be sleeping.

We are both completely in LOVE with one another. Wrapped around Daddy's finger......although we all know its the other way around.

She's Here!!!

I would like to introduce Sidney Malee Miller, born July 5th at 8:34 p.m. Weighing in at 7 lbs 6 ozs and 20 inches long!! She is the absolute love of my life. I still cannot believe that I hold this little miracle in my arms. Sidney is truly a blessing from above. This is Sid~3 days old.

And now for the details on how Sidney came into the world.....It's Sunday morning, we are up and running around trying to get ready for church. We head out to the truck and realize that we don't even have our bibles, so I run around looking for those, we find them about 10 minutes later...they were already in the truck. I know, I'm crazy. We get half way down the drive way and I realize I forgot William's Kids Camp paperwork....Brad throws the truck into reverse and we are back at the house, I jump out and say, this mess is going to put me into labor....and the very next step I took, my water breaks. Just a trickle at first, so I run to the bathroom, with my legs closed shut....try and do that folks, and as soon as I hit the toilet, the water gushes. So I manage to find a washcloth and "fix"myself to run out to the truck to tell Brad that it is baby time. You should have seen him, what a wreck? He is trying to get me into the truck, I'm telling him that I need to call the Dr. He is running around loading bags and carseats and losing his mind all at the same time. I call the Dr and she tells me to come in, the hospital would be waiting for me. We get to the hospital around 10:30. I fill out some forms and we are off to the delivery room. The nurse checked to make sure it really was my water that broke and not peepee....and then she checked me and I was dialated to 4cm. They wanted to see if I would progress on my own and I did until 5cm and then I kinda stalled out so they loaded up the pitosin (not sure about the spelling). The contractions weren't bothering me at all but the nurse insisted that I go ahead and get the epideral while I was still somewhat comfortable. The epideral went in great and I am so grateful because the labor lasted another 6 hours after that. Whew!!! Was I glad I didn't have to feel any of that mess going on. I guess around 8 p.m. I finally reached 10cm and was feeling some pressure. I pushed with the nurse for about 5 contractions, apparently the head has to crown before the Dr will come in. So Sidney finally crowned and the Dr came in and about 7-8 contractions later, my beautiful little girl was here. Thank goodness I didn't have to push anymore, I was so worn out and I only pushed for a half an hour. I did have to have an episiotomy (you know, where they slice you to your b-hole) I am so thankful for it though, I'm glad I didn't tear and Sidney's head and face are very glad for the extra room to squeeze through. I need to shout out an honorable mention here because my husband did the greatest job ever. He was there with me every step of the way, never missed a beat. He was there for every whimper and every contraction, every needle stick and every push. I am so proud of him for being able to stay by my side. For better or worse....he was there and I love him so much more for taking care of me. He never left my side, he pushed my hair our of my face, held my leg back, kissed my forehead, rubbed my neck and loved me unconditionally the whole time. I am so blessed to call him my Husband!!!

Brad cut the cord and they set her on my chest and I've been in love with her ever since. I am a brand new person because of her. I am so thankful for what God has done for me. He has shown me how beautiful life is and how much he truly loves us and wants to see us happy. I seen God in my little girl that day. Grace and Mercy, Beauty and Light. She is my miracle.

The Baby Shower

So last Thursday the women from my Sunday School class threw me a baby shower. It turned out great. The food and cake were absolutely awesome but the gifts that I received for baby Sidney were the greatest.

I am such a ding dong though.....I guess you can blame it on pregnancy brain but I forgot my camera. My good friend Abbi was kind enough to snap a few pics.....she is always handy with her camera (she never leaves home without it).

Thanks again Abbi for bringing your camera and taking pics.....You are helping me to remember my memories.....Lord knows I'm forgetful.

In other baby news.....I've been having contractions for awhile now, the doc put me on meds to settle my uterus down a bit and it seems to be working. He also changed my thyroid meds because my thyroid hormones were a bit off too. I'm just trying to fall apart here. All in all, everything is ok. Sidney is still as strong and healthy as ever. I go back in 2 weeks for another check up.

I will try and update more now that I am getting closer and closer to my due date and I will def try and get more pics on here of the growing belly. We stopped in town first because our church was selling chicken dinners and we decided that was the perfect picnic food for the day. It was yummy. We had a great time relaxing and soaking up some sun. I actually got some sun on the belly. We only stayed about 2 hours, it was getting crazy out there. Lots of people who don't know how to drive boats and who have absolutely no sense. We left unharmed though and had a great day. Here are just a few pics of us and our beautiful day on the river.

It was a little too bright for Sidney so I had to lend her my shades. :)

Me and my love.

Our own personal boat driver....he did such a good job.

Easter Weekend....

We had an absolutely wonderful Easter weekend. Saturday, my closest girlfriends took me out to the Alhambra for my birthday to watch the show, "Footloose" I have always loved the movie so I knew I would enjoy the show. I wished I would have snapped some pics but I didn't. I seriously gotta get better at this bloggin/picture taking thing.

Sunday we were up and at em' early. We had to be at church for Sunrise Service at 8:30 and because I also wanted breaskfast which was served shortly after. It was yummy.....the sausage was a bit disturbing but tasted great as long as you didn't really look at it...a whole lot. After breaskfast the kiddo's had a quick Egg hunt and William I think had just about every egg in his basket. We then went to Sunday School and off to church. After church we headed home because we were hosting Easter at our house. I made all kinds of side dishes and my mother in law baked the ham. Everything turned out wonderful. We hid more eggs and everyone took turn finding them. It was also my birthday that day and my mother in law got me some great gifts for me to take to the hospital when the baby gets here. I can always count on her to think of things I might need in the future. Now of course I didn't take any pics of the people that were here....I know, I know, I'm a dum-dum but I did manage to snap a few after everyone left.

It was a great Easter, we couldn't have asked for a better day to celebrate the Resurrection of Christ with our family and friends. Our driveway was under water and so was our back yard. Now if it was a swimming party or a mud wrestling party, we could have accomodated everyone.

So these past few days, when it wasn't raining, was spent outside, digging ditches, trying to save the garden, purging water out of the flower beds and trying to keep the house clean from messy, muddy husband, child and dog. Its been a rough week. Hopefully the rain will ease up becasue everything is still so soggy. I appreciate the rain but last week was way too much.

Thankfully, our house is built up enough that no rain came near the house.

This is the front yard, I planted all my wildflowers on the left side...I'm not sure there gonna make it.

Our driveway.....you seriously need 4 wheel drive to go down it. I told yall to help me out when you see me failing.

So lets just do a quick catch up because this computer chair hurts my back and I just want to eat and lay down.....or lay down while eating.

On the 4th of March, we went to the Dr. and they told us that its definitely a GIRL!!!! Yay, we are so excited. Brad is a bit nervous, he had this strange look come across his face and I asked him what was wrong and he said......"I'm gonna have to buy her a wedding dress and give her away." How sweet is he?!? Already the worrier....he will have gray hairs with a quickness. Anyways, here is a pic of our sweet baby girl......already kicking up a storm and getting into trouble.

That following weekend, we thought we would go out and celebrate out great news so we headed to Orlando and went to Sea World. We had the best time, the weather was perfect, we were able to catch all the shows and Brad and William were able to ride everything that they wanted. It was a picture perfect day......see for yourself.......

Other than that, all we have been doing is hanging outside and enjoying this wonderful weather. We have finally finished our flower beds....that was back breaking work......I'm never doing that again....while pregnant anyways and we started our garden. We got tons of corn, squash, onions, potato and tomato plants already. I need to head to the store to get some peppers and eggplants. That should put us in veggie heaven for the summer. I will def get some pictures once everything starts growing and coming up.

Just like my last post, I will sit here and type that I will be a better blogger but I seriously doubt it......so look for my next post in about a month!!!

Weekend and Monday, Tuesday Wrap-Up

We had an awesome, relaxing weekend. We were told that it was going to be cold but never in a million years, did I think it would be this cold.......I was prepared, jacket, beanie, scarf, thick socks and 2 blankets. None of it helped. I was freezing. It was so cold that Brad was freezing and he never gets cold. I only wish I had taken more pictures but honestly, my fingers didn't want to come out from under the blankets. I did manage to snap a couple, one of them was when my friend Brandy and I were asked to ride in the pace truck before the race started.....yeah, I think I'm cool.....not to mention the heater was on in the truck.

Saturday morning I had to meet my friend/sister Johnna and take her maternity pictures. I am no where near being any kind of professional photographer. I simply like to take pictures of people.....I do have to say that the pics turned out fabulous. After the picture taking session we (Me, Brad and William) went to town to run some errands and eat.....gotta feed the pregnant girl. We ate at 5 Guys over by the airport. I love the hamburgers there. They're the best. I also needed to run into Best Buy and purchase the latest version of Photoshop. That program is awesome, it lets you do so much with pictures so here our a couple of Johnna, she looked so beautiful. It made taking her picture very easy.

Sunday I headed off to Kingsland to eat lunch with my Mother-in-law. We ate at the Riverside Cafe in St. Mary's.....and again, no pictures were taken. I don't know what's wrong with me but I need to get my act together and start taking some pics.

Monday night was extremely exciting. I felt the baby kick, punch, jab for the very first time. It was about 6 thumps all in a row. I am still amazed that I have a miracle growing inside of me.

Wednesday finally comes around and its supposed to be the day that we find out whether we are having a boy or a girl........lets just say, he/she didn't cooperate. The ultrasound tech looked, prodded and probed for about 15 minutes, trying to get our little one to give up the secret. Stubborn little gummy bear, I tell you. I even walked around and poked him/her myself. The tech said that if she had to guess, she thought it was a girl. I think its a girl too but I'm not about to load up the nursery with pink blankets and dresses yet. They scheduled me for another sono but I don't know if I can wait that long. I may have to try my other valuable resources....aka a friend who's sister is a ultrasound tech. I will keep everyone posted. Here our some pics of our little gummy and his/her precious little piggies. I am in love already.

And all that brings me to today. Today, I filed our taxes.....yay, refund here I come......er, here you come. I need my yard to be beautiful again so most of that money is going to my landscaping and garden. I can't wait for the warm weather so I can start planting. Spring is my favorite time of year. I will definitely try and take more pics of our daliy adventures. I know this was a long one but thanks for being a part of my life and reading along. I hope everyone has a blessed week to come.

I'm a Slacker

I know, I know, I haven't been around. Well I've been around, I have just been....um, not very productive. I don't really have an excuse besides just plain, good, ole fashioned laziness.

I started this blog to keep a daily.....weekly journal of my pregnancy but the past few weeks, nothing spectacular has happened. Besides the fact that I am carrying a miracle and all. I have finally just started feeling better. The waves of nausea have finally subsided and I have actually gained my appetite back. I lost about 8 lbs from the morning, afternoon and evening sickness and I have finally gained all that back, so that puts me at a whopping 124 lbs and I will be 4 months tomorrow....woohoo!! So excited and for some more exciting news, we have our ultrasound on Wednesday to find out if we need pink or blue blankies. Deep down, I think its a girl. Brad thinks its a boy. I guess we will see who wins this one, but in all honesty, we don't care what the sex of the baby is. As long as he/she is a healthy, happy baby.

We have a pretty busy weekend ahead of us and I will do my best to take my camera everywhere with me and take some pics of our daily adventures and I promise to be a better blogger because I know I can always look back and recall these wonderful pregnant days. For my friends out there, help keep me motivated when I slack.

Hearing the Heartbeat

Finally, Dec 10th arrives....I have had this appointment for 4 weeks now. We have been so anxious and excited to see and hear our Baby and his/her hearbeat. It was awesome, well, it would have been a lot better. I think our sonogram technician was having a rough day because she was a bit rude and very quick with her services, but I won't hold that against, everyone has their reasons to be grumpy. Anyways, we walked into the office and sat down for a whole 5 minutes and she called us back, I never expected that we were going to do the sonogram 1st. We walked into this pretty dark room and I laid back and the lady squirted the warm jelly stuff on my belly and there it was, our gummy bear. I thought we were 10 weeks pregnant, looks like I was a bit off.....I'm only almost 9 weeks, so a little set back but thats ok. We got to hear the heartbeat very briefly, 180 bpm...now thats fast. Brad was amazed, he was like, "what, thats his heartbeat?" He was in awe of it all. She managed to snap a pic and throw me an oversized napkin before kicking me out. I will let her slide this time but next time, I won't play so nice. So without further ado.....here is our "gummy bear".

After the sonogram we headed to an office, where they asked me a hundred questions about my health and history and then they stole my blood like vampires and weighed me.....I lost a couple of lbs......thanks to the nausea and vomitting. After all that we had to meet with the Doctor for the full body exam and my pap. He was down there for some time..."checking things out" .....I asked him if he was digging for gold and he said, "uh yeah, kinda." Turns out that I got some issues going on down there. He found a cyst of some kind on my cervix and he wants to schedule a colposcopy.....or something like that. He was hesitant on saying "cancer" but he wanted to be better safe than sorry. Most likely its a cyst or a fibroid, if its just a cyst, he wants to remove it, if it turns out to be a fribroid, then that puppy stays and could end up clogging my cervix which would lead to a c-section. So not the best of news but not the worst of news either. I know God is taking care of me and I have faith that this will all work out. I go back to the Doc in a few weeks to have the procedure, so I am just going to try and stay calm and hope for the best.

December 3rd, 1999

Jefferson Russell Moore was my best friend, my closest ally, my life and my heart. He was taken from me on the 3rd of December in 1999. He died in a tragic car accident, I haven't been the same since he has been gone. Jeff was the light of my life, always quick to cheer you up and make you smile. He had a heart of gold and he was taken from us much to soon.

People always come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. When I 1st met Jeff, I never knew that I would have needed him the way that I did. I never knew that this person that I only knew for a few months would get me through the death of my Mother. Jeff came to me for a specific reason. To be there at the hospital when the Dr. told me my Mom died, to hold me when I cried myself to sleep and to pick me up when I felt like giving up. He was my rock, he was my everything.....little did I know he would be joining my Mother a month and a half later.

I was so angry, I was furious that my Mom would be taken from me and now the one person that knew how to take care of me was gone too. It took a long time, years in fact before I realized why he came into my life. Jeff met my need at the time and that was it, it was time for him to go. I was so blessed to have him in my life and losing him helps me to cherish everyone in my life. I know what its like to have someone stolen from you. One day here and the next day gone. Jeff taught me a lot of things during his short time here on earth and I just hope that you get something from this. Please know that life is too short to be angry, bitter, resentful or filled with hate. Love everyone and know that in a blink of an eye, they could be taken from you.

This is me and Jeff in Nov. 99, 1 month before he died.

Jeff.....I loved you the moment I laid eyes on you, its like my heart knew right then and there, that you were my angel. My job on Thursday was to make the mashed potatoes, broccoli casserole, green bean casserole, rolls and prep the turkey's for frying. Thats right I said turkeys......count em up, 4 of them to be exact.

And I know Thanksgiving is all about coming together as a family, inviting strangers who have no where else to go and being grateful for all the wonderful blessings in your life. Well I am pregnant and yes I am ever so grateful about being in "this condition" but at the same time, wow! I should have thought this through.....who wants morning, afternoon and evening sickness on Thanksgiving. So amidst the frying of turkeys, cooking of food and all these random strangers eating with their mouths open and slurping and burping and chomping.....I lost my appetite. I did however manage to force a roll and a slice of punkin pie down my throat before it all came back up somewhere around 9 p.m. Lucky me, I should have eaten something that was more enjoyable.....that way tasting it twice wouldn't have been so bad.

This head cold that my wonderful husband gave me, is still lingering around too.....I am too scared to take any medicine since I am still so early in my pregnancy. If I still feel horrible tomorrow, I will probably call my Doc and see what he says.

I was feeling pretty puny Friday afternoon so my wonderful husband decided to drag me out to Jacksonville so I could get my Christmas tree decorations. I found everything I was looking for at Garden Ridge....and thank goodness for that, I was about to pass out shortly after we left that store.

Saturday sometime in the afternoon, I mustered up the energy to set the tree up and it turned out beautiful.....I need a tree skirt still and a few other items but all in all, I think it turned out just how I imagined it. I was exhausted afterwards though so of course I took a long and wonderful nap on the couch, I am thinking about just permanently sleeping in the living room.

Well that pretty much wraps up our Thanksgiving weekend. I was sick.....end of story. Here are a few pictures that I managed to snap. I hope everyone else's holiday was a little bit better than mine......God Bless!!!

Here is Brad.....with the infamous make me wanna puke Turkey Fryer's

Here's William....doing what he does best, avoiding crowds by riding his bike, smart, smart boy.

Seriously.....does it look like I want my picture taken? I know I sound horrible but I forgot that you could smell everything when you are pregnant....and I mean everything.

On top of all that, I used to love to eat and now nothing sounds good. My whole world is turning upside down. What will I do if I can't eat? Eating is my life....and now right before the Greatest Eating Holiday of the Year. I will find a way, I will make myself sick on turkey, mashed potatoes, GB casserole and pie and I found this great recipe for caramel punkin pie (that's right, I said punkin, thats how I say it, that's how I spell it.) When I get a chance, I will share the recipe, I promise.

Oh yeah.....I have recently acquired some kind of cold, it started somewhere in my face and moved down to my throat.....I wake up with a sore throat and I know that bugger is working to get down into my chest so I feel even more miserable for Thanksgiving.....and I'm pretty sure there is not much medicine I can take right now so I've been drowning myself in Orange Juice and if you knew what Orange Juice does to my insides, then you would know why I feel pukey.....oh the smell. It's a mean and viscious cycle.

Feeling Yucky.....

Well I thought I was going to be one of the lucky ones, I thought I was going to be that lucky girl that didn't have a single wave of nausea.....I was wrong. It hit me yesterday and it seems to hit me right after I drink water, hmmm, maybe I should just keep drinking cokes, I don't feel sick when I drink cokes, but then, that wouldn't be good for the baby......but it taste so good.

The good news is that I haven't physically puked yet, I know its coming. I know its inevitable, I was at the elementary school last night for my son's Read-In and its like I could smell everything, all the people and all their little children.....I know it sounds bad, but kids smell and that smell, makes me sick.

When we got home I was talking to my husband, Brad. "Honey, I don't feel so well, I might have to throw up." He replies with, " I bet you will feel better if you do, just go throw up." What a man?!? Who says that!?! Does he not know, that once you throw up, you can't stop, and its not like it feels good, like you relieved something, your freaking throwing up. How could that make me feel better?

Well lucky for me, I fought the temptation and decided to sleep. There is nothing better than sleeping while you are pregnant. It doesn't seem to matter where you are or what you are doing, lay your head down and your going to doze off to sleep. Anyone that knows me, knows that I love to sleep, sleeping and eating, my 2 favorite things. Sleeping and dreaming about eating.....even better!!!

Well, I've ate breakfast, I finished my coke, so I guess the only thing left to do is take a nap before I get nauseous. I love the pregnant life!!!

Deciding to Blog

My reason for starting a blog is because our life is about to head down a road I never thought I would be heading down again.....I'm pregnant. I was sure that I was done having children but to my surprise, my husband said he wanted to have a child. So here I am, pregnant and absolutely loving life but I'm having trouble remembering anything and everything so I wanted to have a journal of my pregnancy. I want the child that is growing inside of me to be able to look at this years down the road and know what his/her Mommy was thinking about the whole time I was pregnant.

This baby is a gift from God, and I want to share this experience with the world. I am so blessed.
