Last Friday night we went to the races outside of Brunswick, GA. We were told that it was going to be cold but never in a million years, did I think it would be this cold.......I was prepared, jacket, beanie, scarf, thick socks and 2 blankets. None of it helped. I was freezing. It was so cold that Brad was freezing and he never gets cold. I only wish I had taken more pictures but honestly, my fingers didn't want to come out from under the blankets. I did manage to snap a couple, one of them was when my friend Brandy and I were asked to ride in the pace truck before the race started.....yeah, I think I'm cool.....not to mention the heater was on in the truck.
Saturday morning I had to meet my friend/sister Johnna and take her maternity pictures. I am no where near being any kind of professional photographer. I simply like to take pictures of people.....I do have to say that the pics turned out fabulous. After the picture taking session we (Me, Brad and William) went to town to run some errands and eat.....gotta feed the pregnant girl. We ate at 5 Guys over by the airport. I love the hamburgers there. They're the best. I also needed to run into Best Buy and purchase the latest version of Photoshop. That program is awesome, it lets you do so much with pictures so here our a couple of Johnna, she looked so beautiful. It made taking her picture very easy.
Sunday I headed off to Kingsland to eat lunch with my Mother-in-law. We ate at the Riverside Cafe in St. Mary's.....and again, no pictures were taken. I don't know what's wrong with me but I need to get my act together and start taking some pics.
Monday night was extremely exciting. I felt the baby kick, punch, jab for the very first time. It was about 6 thumps all in a row. I am still amazed that I have a miracle growing inside of me.
Wednesday finally comes around and its supposed to be the day that we find out whether we are having a boy or a girl........lets just say, he/she didn't cooperate. The ultrasound tech looked, prodded and probed for about 15 minutes, trying to get our little one to give up the secret. Stubborn little gummy bear, I tell you. I even walked around and poked him/her myself. The tech said that if she had to guess, she thought it was a girl. I think its a girl too but I'm not about to load up the nursery with pink blankets and dresses yet. They scheduled me for another sono but I don't know if I can wait that long. I may have to try my other valuable resources....aka a friend who's sister is a ultrasound tech. I will keep everyone posted. Here our some pics of our little gummy and his/her precious little piggies. I am in love already.
And all that brings me to today. Today, I filed our taxes.....yay, refund here I come......er, here you come. I need my yard to be beautiful again so most of that money is going to my landscaping and garden. I can't wait for the warm weather so I can start planting. Spring is my favorite time of year. I will definitely try and take more pics of our daliy adventures. I know this was a long one but thanks for being a part of my life and reading along. I hope everyone has a blessed week to come.
